Reaching 100% (R100)
The R100 programme is an ionitiative by the Scottish Government to make sure everyone in Scotland, including ºúÌÒÅ®Éñ and Bute, can get fast internet. They want every home and business to have internet speeds of at least 30 Megabits per second (Mbps). This is important because it helps people work, learn, and stay connected.
In ºúÌÒÅ®Éñ and Bute, the project is making a big difference with major projects such as laying subsea cables to connect some of the islands. If your area isn't covered by the main R100 plan or other internet providers, you can get up to £5,000 to help pay for installing fast internet through the Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS).
